Automatic disc filtration system for primary and safety filtration of inorganic particles, strongly recommanded for water with very high content of suspended solid particles, with the purpose to protect all drip irrigation systems and equipements. Normally, automatic disc filtration is adopted as a solution for primary filtration of water coming from wells, lakes, rivers, channels, and has a remarkable content of sand, clay, ground.
The operating principle of disc filtration is the special design of the disc spine; these are made of very thin polypropylene discs, with diagonal splits, in opposite direction on the top and down faces. Disc are assembled over a spine and compressed by a spring and a piston. During filtration mode, discs are strongly compressed by the spring force and by the differential pressure. Water flows from outside to inside the disc spine, thus filtrating and eliminating its content of particles. Our disc filtration system offers several advantages. First it is implemented by an assembly of helical disc filters, with a unique design, generating a centrifugal effect that moves away the suspended solid particles, enhancing the filtration efficiency and reducing the frequency of maintenance and cleaning of the system itself. Disc filtration systems has self-cleaning cycles, inverting the flow direction: called backflush, this cycle is automatically regulated by a backflush controller, which runs this cyles regularly for determined intervals going from 10 minutes minimum to 24 hours maximum, for 10 to 180 seconds each. Highly effective and reliable with very low water loss.
