San Corrado di Noto is a luxury resort, designed from the accurate and elegant restore of what it once was the Prince Corrado Nicolaci’s farm.
The property, set on an area of approximately 14 hectares and surrounded by the nature of the Val di Noto countryside, boasts a refined and relaxing atmosphere, a perfect combination of Sicilian tradition and innovative comforts.
Located in a hilly area, the need was to irrigate in a rational, efficient way and with the best use of water resources an extended green area, designed with lawn and flower beds, that have different water needs.
Hydro Tech Srl, chosen as a partner in the implementation of the irrigation system, has designed an irrigation system on the lawn that perfectly meets the customer's needs, provided the metric calculation and executive project and provided assistance to the works.
The fully automated irrigation system was designed to ensure maximum flexibility of use for the needs of the client.
For the resort area, served with “single-cable” technology, RAIN BIRD LXD programmers and RAIN BIRD PGA solenoid valves were used; BERMAD, instead, for zones served with multipolar control cable. In the areas near the rooms, designed with the lawn, the sub-irrigation system was provided using the RAIN BIRD XFS dripline with Copper Shield technology to eliminate the noises associated with classic sprinkler irrigation; Dynamic sprinklers (RAIN BIRD 3500 and 5000 Series) were used in the remaining areas.
The flower beds were served with self-compensating dripline or self-compensating, with high-efficiency drippers. In addition, the piping system for the construction of the distribution network and the necessary fittings were provided for the installation.
For the construction of the pools, the Green Pool, a large pool of 840sqm and the One Hundred Blue, the longest pool in Europe, extended to a length of 100m, our team provided all the pipes and fittings.
